Teeth Whitening is a procedure that helps brightens your smile.
Whether you start your day with a morning coffee. Or wind down after a long week of work with a glass of red. You can find that your teeth discolor over time. Some other things that stain your teeth are tea, red vinegar, soy sauce, beetroot, turmeric, and other curry powders.
Whitening is a quick simple procedure that can remove these stains and make those discolored teeth look white and bright again!
At Ashgrove Dental we believe that if you have a smile, you should be confident to show it to the world! We usually recommend having a clean done before your whitening, so that you get the best results with your whitening procedure.
How much whiter will my teeth get?
Whitening is very effective. In dentistry, we have 16 different shades of white, that range from the lightest to darkest.
At Ashgrove Dental, we get great results. Our patients that have whitening done improve their shade from 5-8 shades whiter.
To get the best results, we recommend having your teeth cleaned and polished before a whitening treatment. This removes any buildup and plaque, so the whitening gel can be most effective. We also suggest avoiding staining foods such as red wine, coffee, tea, turmeric, curry powders, beetroot, etc. during your treatment and 2 weeks following your whitening.
Sometimes, teeth may be discolored internally. If that is the case, veneers and crowns may be needed. Click to read more about Cosmetic Dentistry
